Aww, I love seeing how artist make their work or what their process is. I really like the beginning, where you make the rough idea out and make sketches. =]
I don't know really, I tried to colour from greyscale to colour and it is hard and takes forever in my case. What I did on this one I just separated the areas (different layers for hair, skin, clothes etc) with different greys Then put colour over it (locked layer so you can change colour millions of times) And then sometimes I make the finished coloured version into grey scale to check values
O_O anyway, I must admit, I am confused about something.
I understand the greyscale work to determine tones and intensity of tones, but what technique do you use to go from greyscale to colour?
